Goals of the Week!

As we enter the third month of the NHL season, the beauty goals just keep on coming!

This week’s Goals of the Week list features some slick passing plays, a couple of beauty dekes, an unreal second effort and a long distance give-and-go.

Let’s get right to it!

5. Steven Stamkos

The Tampa Bay Lightning didn’t get off to a great start this season, but Steven Stamkos sure did! Check out this killer give-and-go with Matt Gilroy late in the second period of a loss to the Red Wings. What a snipe!

4. Kyle Brodziak

Everybody loves a good second effort goal, and that’s exactly what we saw from Minnesota Wild forward Kyle Brodziak this week. Ilya Kovalchuk coughs it up at his own blue line and Brodziak takes it to the net and taps it home on his third attempt. Beauty!

3. Colin Wilson

Nashville Predators forward Colin Wilson checks in at number three this week – he takes a nice dish from David Legwand and goes backhand, forehand, shelf on a sprawling Roberto Luongo.

2. Ales Hemsky

Edmonton Oilers forward Ales Hemsky has some sick mitts, and that was on full display when he scored a beauty goal this week in a win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Shawn Horcoff brings the puck into the Jackets zone and hits Hemsky with some beauty sauce, and he does the rest.

1. Ryan Getzlaf

The Anaheim Ducks have hit a serious rough patch in their season over the last month or so, but as bad as they might be playing, there are a few reasons you just can’t count them out. Don’t believe me? Check out this wicked passing play between Teemu Selanne, Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.

What the Puck?

Two words: Paulina Gretzky.

Wayne Gretzky apparently had a chat with his daughter about how she was using social media this past week, which led to The Other Great One shutting down her Twitter account.

She's back, but she likely won't be making headlines like she was before, with Papa Gretzky keeping a close eye on her!
